Befriending Performance Anxiety: Five Tips for Managing Negative Thoughts | Online

Free taster webinar introducing the Befriending Performance Anxiety programme.

  • Recognise and reframe negative thoughts
 before, during and after performance
  • Build confidence
  • (Re)discover the joy of performing

Do you engage in negative self-talk before you play in front of friends, family or your music group? What about during and after your performance – does the inner critic launch into detailed analysis of failure and mistakes? Do you feel held back by self-doubt, anxiety and stage fright?

In this free webinar, we will look at five easy steps you can take right now to recognise and work with negative thoughts, build confidence and find more enjoyment, relaxation, accuracy and expressivity in your performance. Musicians and other performers of all levels of ability and experience are welcome.

When: Thursday 30 October, 6pm (UK / Ireland) – 45 minutes followed by optional Q&A (a video recording will also be available after the session)
