Yoga and Psychological Inquiry
(Hybrid workshop: online as well as in person)
Introduction to inner parts work
As we race through our busy days, subjected to constant stress and seemingly unending demand on our time and energy, we might find ourselves “battling” with our environment and also our own critical inner voices. Instead of pushing away uncomfortable or unpleasant internal feedback or fighting with the “self-improvement” committee made up of fragmented parts of our psychological system, we can learn to befriend them, learn from the messages they are sending and ultimately facilitate healing and integration.
In this workshop, we will explore a series of inner psychological inquiry exercises drawing on the Internal Family Systems model of therapy and grounded in Yoga Mindset Coaching to listen and pay attention to the “parts” of you that are most active right now. We will support this deep inner work through a series of yin yoga-led interventions combined with gentle relaxing breathwork and mindfulness exercises. You will learn a selection of tools to continue working on your own after the session.
This workshop is open to practitioners of all levels of experience and ability. Complete beginners are very welcome to attend regardless of fitness or flexibility, while experienced yogis will have the opportunity to work at a deeper level. Please wear something comfortable that does not restrict movement or breathing and bring a pen and a notebook or some paper to take notes.
Price: £15 early bird (before 28 March), £20 regular. Book here.
